Every 7,500 Miles 

The first maintenance visit for your Mazda CX-5 will occur at roughly 7,500 miles. At this maintenance visit, your Mazda will receive its first oil change and tire rotation. In addition, your Mazda CX-5 will have its brake disc inspected. 

These services will take place every 7,500 miles or roughly every six months. 

Every 15,000 Miles 

At the 15,000-mile service interval, your Mazda will receive an oil change and tire rotation again. 

More components of your Mazda CX-5 will be inspected, as well, including fuel lines, brake lines, steering operation, and driveshaft dust boots. The bolts and nuts on your car’s chassis and body will be tightened. To continue to provide clean air for your cabin, the cabin air filter will get replaced. 

15,000 miles is roughly how many miles an American drives annually. The services mentioned in this section will happen about once a year. A technician will also inspect your emergency flat tire repair kit once a year (if you have one) to ensure it is functional. 

Every 37,500 Miles to 40,000 Miles 

At approximately 37,500 miles, your Mazda will need an oil change, tire rotation, and other routine services. At this stage, our technician will also begin inspecting your vehicle’s exhaust system and heat shields. 

Some Mazda models may have a 40,000-mile service appointment, while others will continue with the every 15,000-mile service appointment. 

If your Mazda CX-5 has a Skyactiv®-G 2.5T engine, you will have a service appointment every 40,000 miles, too. At this stage, your car’s engine will require spark plug replacements to continue to perform as expected. 

Every 75,000 Miles 

If your Mazda has another engine option under the hood, the spark plugs won’t be replaced until the 75,000-mile service appointment. 

Your spark plugs will be replaced every 75,000 miles for as long as your Mazda CX-5 is on the road. 

At 120,000 Miles

Your Mazda CX-5 will hit another service milestone at 120,000 miles. That’s a long time to be on the road! At this appointment, your vehicle’s engine coolant will be replaced. 

Every 60,000 Miles Afterward

Once you’ve passed your 120,000-mile service appointment, the engine coolant will need to be replaced every 60,000 miles for as long as your Mazda CX-5 is on the road.
