Harbor Cruises in Norfolk, VA

What could be more exciting that getting a waterside view of the greatest naval armada in the world: the U.S. Naval fleet at Norfolk. The U.S. Navy represents over 200 years of naval power and history. There is a wide variety of harbor cruises in the Norfolk area where you can see everything from the natural beauty of the region to historic sites. 

Harbor Cruises 

Victory Rover—This is a two-hour, narrated harbor cruise where you can see some of the most spectacular naval ships ever assembled. Cruise past our mighty aircraft carriers, destroyers, nuclear subs, and a wide variety of other naval implements on the Victory Rover. 

Summer cruise times are 11am, 2pm, and 530pm daily. Tickets are $22 for adults and $14 for children. For an additional fee, you can also take a tour aboard the battleship, USS Wisconsin. 

American Rover—For a taste of the distant past, take a pleasant cruise aboard a real three-masted topsail schooner. Sail in comfort along the Elizabeth River and Hampton Roads Harbor for a two-hour ride. Cruises run daily at 130pm and 7pm for a Sunset Cruise. 

For private party or corporate events, catering is offered, and there is a couple of fully stocked lounges below decks. Contact American Rover for reservations and ticket prices. 

Spirit of Norfolk—Jump aboard this luxurious yacht and cruise along the harbor and Elizabeth River. The Spirit of Norfolk has many amenities aboard including buffet meals with gluten-free cuisine. The interior climate controlled decks offer dance floors and full service bars. 

The Spirit of Norfolk is great for corporate and private events. There are many different cruises during each week, including lunch and dinner cruises. Spirit of Norfolk schedules several specialty cruises such a Father’s Day cruise, Hot Latin Moonlight cruise, and Fourth of July cruise. Dinner cruises require appropriate attire. Prices vary depending upon which cruise you book, so contact Spirit of Norfolk for more information. 

Miss Hampton II—This tour boat offers cruises of a historical nature. History buffs can ride along side the U.S. Naval fleet at Norfolk with a fully narrated cruise. Miss Hampton II is the only cruise that will take you to the historic site of the famous Civil War naval engagement between the Monitor and Merrimac. Included in the cruise is a stop at the Civil War island fortress of Fort Wool. 

The Miss Hampton II is available for private charters and school field trips. Cruises run daily through Saturday at 1100 am and 2pm on Sundays. Tickets are $25 for adults and children 6—12 are $14. Senior discounts are available, and service members are half price.
