Fall Events Virginia Beach VA

A variety of events offer your family plenty of Virginia Beach recreational activities in the fall. The crowds finally start to thin out as families have to go home for the new school year. Once the long hot summer starts winding down and the weather gets comfortable, recreational activities become appealing. The sun goes down earlier which helps keep the temperatures down and many evening activities are more accessible.

The Range Of Opportunities

Most of the events that take place in the fall offer some unique experiences. They involve festivals, special events related to food and drinks, and music. The Labor Day Weekend is the traditional end of the summer season, even though fall does not officially start until later in the month. To help end the summer, the Virginia Beach Music Festival is a three-day event that features four stages of music. It is the largest outdoor music event on the East Coast and features local musicians and national acts.

The next weekend is the Blues at the Beach Festival. Several blues bands are scheduled to play on Friday September 5th and Saturday the 6th at the 17th Street Park. This is a long running blues festival and is one of the more popular events for this style of music in the region. It will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and if you are looking for affordable entertainment, this is fall events virginia beach vait.
